The Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) is designed to enhance the driving skills and safety protocols of emergency responders. This comprehensive program put forth by the United States Department of Transportation combines classroom instruction with hands-on driving exercises to equip participants with the knowledge and abilities necessary to operate emergency vehicles safely and effectively in a variety of challenging conditions.
Please note: this course does not cover pursuit driving or high speed operation of an ambulance.
Morning Session: Classroom Training The morning session focuses on theoretical aspects of emergency vehicle operation. We focus on maneuvering an emergency vehicle. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of:

Afternoon Session: Driving Course The afternoon is dedicated to practical application of learned skills through hands-on driving exercises on a specialized obstacle course. Participants will have the opportunity to:
